The Storyteller, the belo & the vonu
Co-created with Antonia Bhagwan, “The Storyteller, the belo and the vonu” is a storytelling series unpacking the journeys, efforts and ideas of Pacific people contributing to and driving change to realise the vision of the 2050 Strategy for the Blue Pacific Continent.
The belo
A bleached black heron, the belo supports the Storyteller - as both an overbearing presence and a cheerleader - ensuring stories are told.
The Storyteller
Larger than life and embracing expression across time and space, the Storyteller has a passion for Pacific epistomologies.
The vonu
Inspired by the hawksbill turtle, the vonu carries the storyteller’s voice across the ocean to sister islands and other Pacific peoples.
